Fruit & Nut

I'm sure you've all heard me go on about simple pleasures. Homemade soup, a great nap, looking good in a cowboy hat, finding a great song. Who knew there were 5 different channels of Celtic music on-demand on the interweb?

Happy Birthday to my favourite chubby bastard, Ian! His age is now divisible by 7. Next year year his age will be a prime number. No, I don't know where I'm going with this... it's late, ok?

Tomorrow I'm gonna take a drive up to Banff with friends Lyndee and Daiva to see the beautiful and fabulous Danielle French open for some party band... Spirit of the West or somesuch. Danielle is not only a talented singer / songwriter, but also a dastardly poker player. Took $7 from me last Friday... and she'd never even played Texas Holdem before, or so she claimed.

Does anyone else think the new Opera House in Toronto is going to be amazing? Is anyone else a fan of Wagner? The Ring Cycle? Anyone? Bueller... Bueller? Just asking.

Ok, this entry is definately moving along weird lines... think I'll just go with it and recommend another link:

I'm not even going to introduce it... just take a look if you have any interest in the whole Harry Potter phenomenon. It is not porn, but it is slash fiction.

For all of you who seem to be so concerned about me not working, drinking my savings away and ending up in a ditch or worse (no, it's a valid concern) get this: Oliver got a real gig. I've become the PM / TD for a medium sized dance show produced by Eko Dance Projects. It's going into the U of C Theatre at the end of the month. A month's worth of work, and enough $$ to pay for two. It's good though, cause it's gonna take a few hundey to get the motocyclette on the road. And this province is made for biking. I can't wait to head down through the foothills to Waterton this summer.

Also a potential hook up for the Spring as a stage manager for the Calgary Stampede Grandstand Show. All good training for when I plan to coordinate the Opening Ceremonies at the Vacouver Olympics in 2010.

Oliver signing off... goodnight all.

Oh and PS. If anyone is going to be in the Greater Miami Area soon, can you make a visit to the offices of the Miami Film Festival for me? I still haven't seen a cent of my earnings from A MONTH AGO when I was working 15 hour days for them.
