Another Happy Day In The Rockies

The Fabulous Four decided at the last minute to take a day trip up into Kananaskis Country. We drove up to Spray Lakes, and then proceeded on foot up the trail to follow the water to the Karst Spring. Rainwater and snow runoff filter through the mountain and gush out of the rock face. The water is about 1 degree... as close to ice as it gets.

On the way back down we took a well earned dip in an amazing mountain lake. The water was so clear you could see the clay bottom twelve feet down.

Just in case your following along at home... here's my next series of adventures, in chronological order: on Aug. 2 fly to Toronto, connect with Ian and Leigh and fly to Zurich; spend time in Baden, the chalet in Ticino, the condo in Wallis, connect with Nima and Marit there, end the Swiss leg of my journey in Zurich; then it's off to Cambridge to be with Neil for 10 or so days, with a possible weekend in Edinburgh; back to Canada just before Labour Day, hopefully spend a weekend in Montreal, then proceed to Toronto; work the Toronto Film Fest, and see the COC's Ring Cycle at the new Opera House.

Then, and only then do I return to Calgary to rehearse with One Yellow Rabbit. The last two weeks of October we shall be in Ottawa at the National Arts Centre with the show "Dream Machine".

Back again I go to Calgary, to move apartments and maybe even decompress a bit.

Keep in touch friends, and more from the road coming soon!

Love, Oliver
